About Us
Our goal at Evansville Food Oasis is to remove the barriers to healthy eating. We are currently focusing our efforts in collaborating with the Junior League of Evansville on the Neighborhood Food Market. Through this joint effort, we aim to sell fruits, vegetables, and other staples at reduced prices to residents in relatively food insecure areas in the Tri-state . Our Story
It all started out with an idea for a business proposal competition, The 2019 University of Evansville Changemaker Challenge. We wanted to convert a bus into a mobile market to sell foods at reduced prices to underserved residents in our area. After winning the competition, we got to work trying to execute our vision. After years of planning, networking, and fundraising, we have started serving our community through the Neighborhood Food Market!!
